How to use BOOST
The guide offers several options for optimal performance. Whether you sweat a lot or have dry skin, you can adjust it to suit your needs and experience grip like you've only dreamed of until now.
The friends at TOKYO POWDER have recently received a lot of questions about BOOST. Here's a transcript of the article from TOKYO POWDER, and many are now discovering new ways to take their performance to the next level.
Basic BOOST Method:
-
Wash your hands before use (if not, use REACT).
-
Apply BOOST before your attempt or warm-up, then wash your hands again.
-
Reusing BOOST = Unlock the power of BOOST.
-
Reapply BOOST every 3–6 attempts (apply BOOST over chalk without washing your hands).
-
If you notice clumps of chalk or other impurities forming on your hands, wash them and reapply BOOST.
This works for some people:
-
If BOOST feels too dry to apply, spray REACT on it to create a paste similar to cream chalk and use it as a base layer. If it becomes too liquid, the friction effect tends to decrease, but it can be very effective on dry rocks or dry hands.
-
Open the BOOST pouch and let it air out, or dry it in the microwave, crush it into powder, and mix with your regular chalk (ideal for people with sweaty hands).
Storage Instructions:
-
If it dries out too much and crumbles, spray it with REACT, close the pouch, and knead it with your hands to soften it. If you don’t have REACT, you can use a few drops of water. Be careful not to add too much.
-
As mentioned above, people who sweat heavily tend to prefer dry BOOST. In such cases, leaving the BOOST packaging open will help it dry out more, making it easier to use. Once it dries, it becomes hard and difficult to use as a base layer, so it’s best to crush and mix it with chalk.
